Snowflake Challenge - Day 2

Day 2
In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Drop a link to your post in the comments. See if you can rec fanworks that are less likely to be praised: tiny fandoms, rare pairings, fanworks other than stories, lesser known kinks or tropes. Find fanworks that have few to no comments, or creators new to a particular fandom and maybe aren't well known or appreciated. Appreciate them.
The Sherlock Holmes Club

This one had me in stitches. The thought that the Scotland yard officers go out to drink together and bitch about how annoying Sherlock Holmes is, was an idea that had me grinning. This is a short work, but it was fun and the dialog really gives you a sense of character. Worth a read.
Unravelling Sherlock

Writing stories is hard enough when you write them in your first language. English is not the first language of the author of this work, and sometimes you can see this in grammar and word choice, but these problems couldn't cover the brilliance of this work which is a mature Johnlock first time story. And what a story! At more than 145,000 words this is a epic novel of a work.
What won me over was the way that each sex scene felt totally motivated, and that the story required them to develop the relationship. Many Johnlock stories are simple and short. They skirt around the issue and then have sex and suddenly everything is resolved, and they live happily ever after. In this story, there is more of a slow eroding of barriers as they become more and more intimate until they are truly a couple, and then Moriarty shows up.
The author also keeps the story grounded in the canon by referencing episodes as well as the blog so that it doesn't stray too much from the story. If you are able to overlook some grammar errors, and you are in the mood for a novel length mature work, then this is the story for you.
My third rec is a collection:
CHILDHOOD IN A NUTSHELL
a Sherlock Fan Fiction Collection
When big angst-ridden stories are getting you down, lighten up at CHILDHOOD IN A NUTSHELL. A collection of Sherlock poems and stories based on children's rhymes and fairy tales. Crime in Rhyme and Nursery Crimes are good stories to start with. Other works vary from parody to drama but all with a theme of stories from childhood.
