Podfics to come - maybe
Jun. 13th, 2013 05:57 pmI want to post podfics in progress, but don't know how to put them up so that they are embedded.
Places like soundcloud allow embedding, but they limit the time of the content you post, and I am already at the limit.
I have a place to put files for download, but I think that people are more likely to listen to works in progress if there is an embedded player.
Don't know how to make it work.
TESTING:

Date: 2013-06-14 05:30 am (UTC)For streaming, what you need is an audio player. There's some free ones online, from what I understand. I used to use the Google player until they changed the code so it no longer works. Now I use the old Google player, except downloaded the& saved on my site so they *can't* change it on me anymore.
The player is here, if you want to download it: http://sylvaine.parakaproductions.com/audio-player.swf (right-click download)
And the embed code you need to use is here:
(just change the part in quote marks after src= to wherever you're hosting your audio player, and the MP3link to the podfic url (make sure to keep the "audioUrl= part, though - I forgot that a few times & it took me a fair while to figure out what was wrong...).
